Will I get the item that is photographed?

Here at Bruckhills Croft we do our best to provide accurate photographs of each item, the majority of our snowdrops have a photograph of the pot of snowdrops that the snowdrop bulb came from.

Planting Guide

All snowdrops prefer cool, moist conditions in the spring and a surprisingly dry summer. We Supply Snowdrops in the green and as dormant bulbs, we grow our stock bulbs in Pond baskets filled with a mixture of Soil / Compost / Sand and Grit. The pots are plunged in the borders and fully labeled, both inside the pot and as a tag label above the pot. The Bulbs are lifted every 3 or so years depending on the variety and surplus bulbs are planted in pots which we sell at the snowdrop open days and on line.

Dormant Bulbs

Please open the packaging as soon as possible and keep in a cool place until ready to plant, but plant them as soon as possible. Plant the bulbs so the top of the bulb is approx. 1 to 2 times the size of the bulb below the surface of well-prepared planting mixture either in a plunged basket or in the garden ensuring they are well labeled.

In The Green Plants

Please open the packaging as soon as possible and keep in a cool place until ready to plant, but plant them as soon as possible. Plant the snowdrop at the same depth as it has been growing, you should be able to see the depth as it is where the stem turns green, be careful not to damage the plant or the roots and label them well.

Feeding

We use a liquid fertiliser after flowering to help ensure the bulbs grow well.
